Event titled "Spartiakada for the Worker's Day in the Gas Industry"

The IV Spartakiada of Yakutia's Gas Industry was inaugurated on a significant day, coinciding with the celebration of the Gas Industry Worker's Day, in the village of Kysyl-Syr, Vilyuisky District, Yakutia. Over 100 participants took part in the event, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Geology of Yakutia, Andrei Sychevskiy, who also delivered a welcoming speech.

The Spartakiada this year sees five teams competing, including representatives of vocational education. Andrei Sychevskiy, in his speech, referred to Kysyl-Syr as the gas heart of the region. He also emphasized the importance of the gas industry for the region and stated that Yakutia is among the top five regions in oil and gas production.

The competition involves various sports disciplines, with men competing in a 3km run and women running 1.75km during the mass run that marked the beginning of the Spartakiada. The event also includes masterclasses, quad biking, hot air balloon rides, a fair, workshops, and a gastronomic festival called "Syrfest".

Andrei Sychevskiy, in his gratitude to the participants, thanked them for their contribution to the region's gas industry. The event will conclude with a grand concert featuring stars of Yakutian pop music and singer Bianca.

Evgeny Sidorov, the head of the gas and mineral oil sector of Yakutia who participated in the Spartakiada, was also present at the event. The Spartakiada in Kysyl-Syr is a testament to the region's commitment to celebrating its gas industry workers and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
