In the heart of Wiesbaden, at the Press Office of the State Capital (Schlossplatz 6, 65183 Wiesbaden), a special event is being prepared to honour the 150th birthday of the renowned French composer, Maurice Ravel.

The evening's program is a captivating journey through the realms of music, bridging the gap between French Impressionism and German Romanticism. The students and pupils, under the direction of Prof. Meining, have meticulously learned a selection of piano pieces from both periods.

The program includes works by some of the most celebrated composers of the Impressionist and Romantic eras. Frédéric Chopin's piano works will be featured, as well as pieces by Robert Schumann, such as the Abegg Variations op. 1 and the beloved Kinderszenen op. 15. The program also boasts Preludes by Claude Debussy and, as the evening's centrepiece, Maurice Ravel's "Miroirs", a masterpiece of French Impressionism.

For those interested in learning more about this unique event, the responsible department or office can be contacted. Citizens can also visit the official website of the State Capital Wiesbaden (www.wiesbaden.de) for further information.

While specific details about which students in Wiesbaden under Prof. Meining will present Maurice Ravel's "Miroirs" and other pieces from the Impressionist and Romantic period in an evening concert are not yet available, the anticipation for this musical extravaganza continues to grow.

Join us in Wiesbaden for an unforgettable evening of music, as we celebrate the life and work of Maurice Ravel, a true master of the piano.
