European research and innovation alliance endorse declaration for extensive European research and development program
Europe Pushes for a More Ambitious Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10)
The European Union is taking steps to address urgent industrial needs and boost its competitiveness with the European Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP10). This programme, intended to promote the industrial uptake of novel technologies, is at the heart of efforts to improve people's well-being and quality of life.
A joint statement, signed by 109 associations including our website, calls for a more ambitious FP10. The declaration was initiated by 24 leading alliances from science, industry, and business sectors in Germany, as part of a call for a strong Framework Programme for Research and Innovation.
The statement emphasizes the need for increased pan-European collaborative research on FP10. It highlights the importance of continuing road-transport relevant R&I partnerships such as 2ZERO, CCAM, and BATT4EU. These partnerships, part of the efforts to make FP10 more competitive, focus on scaling-up new solutions, products, and services.
The 2ZERO, CCAM, and BATT4EU partnerships are designed to promote the industrial uptake of novel technologies and aim to enhance European long-term competitiveness. They work towards improving people's well-being and quality of life, with a focus on new solutions, products, and services.
The global technology race necessitates that the EU fully capitalizes on its scientific and technological potential. To attract and retain private RD&I investments in Europe, the EU must have strong industrial participation in FP10. The focus of FP10 must be on excellent cross-border collaborative Research, Development, and Innovation (RD&I).
The 2ZERO, CCAM, and BATT4EU partnerships are part of the already well-established road-transport relevant R&I partnerships. They are part of the efforts to make FP10 more competitive, with the goal of making FP10 more competitive to enhance the EU's overall competitiveness.
The partnerships aim to promote the industrial uptake of novel technologies for improved people's well-being and quality of life, and to increase European long-term competitiveness. The current FP10 lags behind other regions in collaborative research, but with these partnerships and a more ambitious FP10, the EU is taking significant strides towards closing that gap.
