The Lahn Valley, known for its enjoyment, hospitality, and lived regionality, has once again showcased its commitment to Hessian cuisine with two businesses receiving the coveted "Hesse à la Carte" award this year.
The Wine House Schultes in Limburg and Justus at the Hessian Court in Gießen have been recognised for their dedication to quality and regionality. The Wine House Schultes, specialising in seasonal cuisine with daily changing recommendations, primarily cooperates with local producers and suppliers, offering a unique Hessian-Mediterranean dining experience.
Justus at the Hessian Court, on the other hand, stands for homemade quality with traditional Hessian roots. From ketchup to cream cheese, everything is made with care, reflecting the establishment's dedication to regional products.
The "Hesse à la Carte" quality seal is a testament to a business's commitment to Hessian cuisine and quality. The comprehensive three-year evaluation checks the origin of products, culinary offer, and gastronomic quality. Depending on the score, businesses are awarded 1, 2, or 3 Hessian state lions.
Both establishments received certificates signed by Kawthar Mansouri and the Hesse à la Carte business managers, carrying the handwritten signature of the award issuer or certifying authority.
The Lahn Valley Tourism Association appreciates these businesses' commitment to Hessian cuisine, valuing experiences that allow guests to taste the region in addition to visual experiences. Both Justus at the Hessian Court and Wine House Schultes exemplify the connection of culinary ambition, sustainability, and regional affiliation.
The Wine House Schultes was also awarded the "Hesse à la Carte" seal this year, adding another feather to its cap. The recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these establishments in promoting and preserving Hessian cuisine.
