Eurofighter plane crashes into a drone

A collision occurred between an Airbus Eurofighter and a drone during a test flight in Bavaria last week. The incident happened over Manching near Ingolstadt on Thursday, as reported by BILD.

Baffling incident occurs in Bavaria - Eurofighter plane crashes into a drone

Down after landing, the pilot identified considerable harm on the fighter jet. Upon an examination, it was disclosed that it wasn't caused by a bird strike.

Videos: The Eurofighter met with a drone roughly 300 meters east of the runway in the air. In Manching, Airbus Defense and Space assembles the fighter jets and also practices regular flight tests.

Initial Search for Debris: Nothin' Found

Upon the initial search for wreckage, no fragments were located. The Criminal Investigation Department in Ingolstadt is currently wagering who could have handled the drone. At present, there's no hint regarding ownership. The public prosecutor's office has launched proceedings for endangering air traffic.

Possible Suspects: The speculation among cops is that maybe it was belonging to a plane chaser. These are individuals who photograph planes out of passion. At the Airbus field, plane enthusiasts often congregate. To date, there've been no instances linked to the admirers.

The wreckage is approximated to amount to various hundreds of thousands of euros.
