EU legislative bodies have endorsed a decision outlining the European Parliament's functions within the European Union.

In the town of Mülheim, a new tool has been introduced to help residents find their perfect political match in local elections. Known as the "Municipal Matchmaker", this questionnaire tool challenges local parties and alliances on their stance on local politics, providing a comprehensive comparison for voters.

Developed by a team of three young people from Mülheim, the "Municipal Matchmaker" offers a unique approach to political decision-making. It allows users to compare their stance with the parties' answers, and the tool indicates the best match for their convictions.

The tool provides detailed information for each point on how the parties and alliances justify their stance, making it easier for voters to make informed decisions. However, two parties, the Alternative for Germany (AfD) and "We from Mülheim", did not participate in the "Municipal Matchmaker" and do not appear in the comparison.

The creators of the "Municipal Matchmaker" repeatedly invited the AfD and "We from Mülheim" to participate, but both let the deadline pass. As a result, the tool does not include these parties in the comparison due to their non-participation.

The development of the "Municipal Matchmaker" was a collaborative effort, with the team coordinating with the Mülheim Youth Council and the State Youth Council throughout the process. The aim was to create a tool that would encourage young people to take an active interest in local politics and make informed decisions when voting.

Despite the non-participation of the AfD and "We from Mülheim", the "Municipal Matchmaker" has been well-received by many in the community. It is a tool designed to help users find the political party that best aligns with their beliefs in local politics, and it is hoped that it will inspire more young people to become involved in the democratic process.

However, no further information was provided about the reasons for the non-participation of the AfD and "We from Mülheim". It remains to be seen whether they will participate in future elections or whether the "Municipal Matchmaker" will continue to be a valuable resource for voters in Mülheim.
