EU Expansion Marks 20 Years: Baerbock Meets With Polish Foreign Minister Sikorski

Along with fellow Eastern European nations Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic, Poland became a part of the European Union on May 1st, 2004. The Mediterranean islands of Malta and Cyprus were welcomed into the union on the same day.
