Epstein associate's emails hint at Prince Andrew having continued correspondence past the stated timeframe

In a surprising development, newly released emails have suggested that Prince Andrew remained in contact with the disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein up to five years later than he previously admitted. The emails, published by The Sunday Times, contradict Prince Andrew's account of his relationship with Epstein during his 2019 interview with Emily Maitlis.

The emails, which were found posted online by Distributed Denial of Secrets (DDoS), a Wikileaks-style site, were independently verified by The Sunday Times. The newspaper cross-checked the emails' contents using cross-checking of email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, and a handwriting match. However, the newspaper could not definitively rule out tampering of the documents.

According to the emails, Epstein, in a conversation with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, mentioned that Andrew provided information about a business opportunity in China. Epstein allegedly told Mr. Barak that the "Wealthy Chinese" were looking to start a personal protection company in Beijing. No further context or background information about the business opportunity or the parties involved was provided in the paragraph.

Mr. Barak visited Epstein around 30 times between 2013 and 2017. When asked about his contacts with Epstein, Mr. Barak mentioned that the Duke of York had contacts with Jeffrey Epstein between 2013 and 2017, with the last known contacts occurring in late 2017. Epstein reportedly obtained the business information from Prince Andrew. When Mr. Barak asked for clarification, Epstein confirmed that he was referring to "The Prince".

Prince Andrew, in his 2019 interview with Emily Maitlis, stated that his meeting with Epstein in December 2010 was the only time he saw him after Epstein's conviction. However, Andrew also claimed that he had not seen or spoken to Epstein after that meeting. During the Newsnight programme, Andrew did not mention any contacts beyond 2010.

In 2019, Prince Andrew told Emily Maitlis that he cut ties with Epstein in December 2010. Mr. Barak previously described Epstein as a "terrible version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde," but denied witnessing inappropriate behavior.

This new development in the Prince Andrew-Jeffrey Epstein saga is sure to raise questions and generate further discussion about the nature and extent of their relationship. As more information comes to light, it will be interesting to see how this story unfolds.
