"Environmental Impact of Oyster Farms as Seen Through the Eyes of Sea Otters"

Emily Reynolds, an Alaska Sea Grant State Fellow affiliated with NOAA's Aquaculture Program, will lead a fascinating presentation focusing on sea otters and their relationship with mariculture. The event, organised by The Marine Conservation Institute, is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM PDT and will last for one hour.

Ms. Reynolds holds a Master's degree (MS) and will share insights into the sea otter's participation in mariculture operations during the presentation. The presentation will delve into the sea otter's foraging behavior and its interactions with oyster farms, as well as cover sea otter habitat use.

The presentation will also touch upon the sea otter's role in changing coastal economies. Ms. Reynolds will provide information about the sea otter's role in coastal economies during the presentation.

Dr. Emily Thompson, a researcher studying sea lion activities related to maritime operations, has found that sea lions adapt their foraging behavior and habitat use in response to coastal economic changes, highlighting their role as key participants in shifting coastal ecosystems. This research underscores the importance of understanding the behaviour of these marine mammals in the context of human activities.

The event will be streamed on YouTube, and the specific link will be available soon. Unfortunately, the presentation will not be available immediately after the event; the YouTube link will be shared soon.

Join Emily Reynolds for this enlightening discussion on the complex relationship between sea otters, mariculture, and coastal economies. Stay tuned for more details about the presentation and how you can participate.
