Enhanced mobile connectivity in Dresden's metropolitan area, thanks to Telekom
In the vibrant city of Dresden, Deutsche Telekom has significantly bolstered its mobile network, with the operationalisation of emergency technologies Advanced Mobile Location (AML) and Cell Broadcast at all its mobile sites within the district. This move has led to an impressive increase in fast mobile coverage, with around 100% of households now enjoying reliable mobile connections.
The expansion efforts have not been confined to the city centre. Along the A4 motorway and the Leipzig-Dresden and Sachsen-Ost railway lines, mobile coverage has been extended to 18 sites, ensuring seamless connectivity for commuters and travellers.
To cater to the growing demand for bandwidth, Deutsche Telekom has also put a new antenna site into operation in Dresden. Georg von Wagner, the spokesperson for Deutsche Telekom, has revealed that the demand for bandwidth is increasing by around 30% per year.
In times of emergency, these advanced technologies prove invaluable. Cell Broadcast sends danger alerts to mobile phones in the affected cell during emergencies such as large fires, gas explosions, or floods. AML, on the other hand, automatically transmits a caller's location to the emergency control centre when calling 112, ensuring swift and efficient response.
Deutsche Telekom's commitment to enhancing its network has not gone unnoticed. Specialist magazines Chip, connect, ComputerBild, and Imtest have all confirmed Deutsche Telekom as the provider of the best mobile network in Germany.
However, no specific details about the geographical locations or individual sites where these emergency technologies are operational were provided. Furthermore, no information about Sandrina Sperlich, a person mentioned in other contexts, was discussed in this regard.
In Mรถser, Germany, Deutsche Telekom has recently installed a new antenna, marking another step in its ongoing efforts to improve mobile coverage across the country. Despite the expansion, the proportion of households with fast mobile coverage in areas outside of Dresden remains unclear.
As Deutsche Telekom continues to invest in its infrastructure, it is clear that the company is dedicated to providing its customers with the best possible service, especially in times of emergency.
