Enhanced Home Health Care in Rural Regions through the HÄPPI Idea

Dr. Daniela Hesel, the head of the Baden-Württemberg General Practitioners' Association, was instrumental in the HÄPPI project's pilot phase, which was conducted in ten GP practices across the state. The findings from this phase were compiled into a best practice handbook, offering valuable insights for interested primary care practices.

The Cabinet Committee on Rural Areas, another key player in the process, is responsible for setting standards for the future of health policy in Baden-Württemberg. This committee promotes equal living conditions, infrastructures, and working conditions throughout the state and plays a crucial role in the awarding of the HÄPPI project during the pilot phase.

The HÄPPI concept focuses on complex cases and utilizes digital technologies for more efficient practice organization and diagnostics. This approach provides GPs with more free capacity to better address chronically and multiply ill patients.
