England faces apprehension against Andorra.

In a match played in Birmingham, England secured a 2-0 victory over Andorra, bolstering their position at the top of Group K.

The first half of the match was a tense affair, with England's opening goal coming as an own goal by Christian Garcia in the 28th minute. The second half saw a more decisive performance from the Three Lions, with Declan Rice scoring the second goal for England in the 65th minute.

Despite the victory, the match was a lackluster performance for England, with the team failing to impress. England currently has 12 points in Group K, comfortably at the top of the table, but their performance raises questions about their form heading into the latter stages of the qualifiers.

Meanwhile, in Group F, Portugal secured a convincing 5-0 victory over Armenia. Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals in the match, taking his tally to 139 and 140 for Portugal. João Félix and João Cancelo also got on the scoresheet for Portugal.

Elsewhere, Bosnia and Herzegovina leads Group H with 12 points after their 6-0 win in San Marino. Edin Dzeko scored twice in the match for Bosnia and Herzegovina. Austria secured a 1-0 win over Cyprus, thanks to a penalty converted by Marcel Sabitzer. The match was briefly halted due to a hole in the pitch near Cyprus' penalty area, which was filled with sand to resume play.

It's worth noting that only the group winner will qualify directly for the 2026 World Cup in the USA, Canada, and Mexico. The runner-up will have to play in the playoffs to qualify.

The match against Armenia was marked by tributes to Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva, who passed away in early July.

Serbia follows England with 7 points after their win in Latvia. The qualifiers continue, with each team fighting for a spot in the 2026 World Cup.
