Energy Talks in Aschaffenburg: A Series of Informative Sessions

From September to November 2025, the VHS Aschaffenburg Hall will play host to a series of free-of-charge Energy Talks. These talks, open to both in-person attendees and live stream viewers, aim to educate the public on various aspects of energy efficiency and sustainability.

The series kicks off on September 18, 2025, with the first lecture, "Green Buildings - Improving the Climate at Your Own Home". This talk, presented by Antonia Pfeiffer and Rebecca Landwehr, will delve into the latest developments in building and vegetation technology for roof and facade greening.

On September 25, 2025, the topic shifts to heat pumps with the talk titled "Heat Pumps Are Not Witchcraft". Peter Bayer and Andreas Jung will take the stage to discuss the selection and planning of heat pumps, considering factors such as insulation, heating bodies, underground, space in the basement, size and layout of the property, and the different types of heat pumps. The regional campaign "Home Advantage: Energy Efficient Renovation" will also be presented during this session.

The Energy Talks continue on October 23, 2025, with a discussion on energy efficiency and security aspects of modern windows. Titled "Modern Windows: Energy Efficient and Secure!", this talk will be presented by Dipl. Ing. (FH) Tibor Reidl and Karsten Feegers. The first part of the talk will focus on energy efficiency, covering topics like window glazing and window frames. The second part will delve into the aspect of burglary protection when replacing windows.

Lastly, on November 11, 2025, the lecture "Insulating Roofs the Right Way" will discuss thermal insulation of buildings, boundary conditions, the choice of insulation material, insulation thickness, and practical implementation. It will also present current funding programs in the field of energy-efficient renovation.
