On Friday afternoon at 14:40, a collision occurred near the intersection of Diebsweg and Baumschulweg, right outside the Police Headquarters Mannheim.

According to the available information, a 33-year-old Audi driver was traveling on Diebsweg towards Speyerer Straße when the vehicle came to a stop due to traffic. In the same instance, a 28-year-old Skoda driver failed to apply the brakes and hit the stationary Audi.

As a result of the collision, both drivers sustained minor injuries and were treated at a nearby hospital. The Skoda, unfortunately, was a total loss and required towing. The total material damage from the incident is approximately 8,000 euros.

For inquiries about this incident, you can contact Patricija Cavara at the Police Headquarters Mannheim Press Office. Alternatively, you can reach out via phone at 0621 174-1111 or email at [email protected].

Traffic at the intersection with Baumschulweg was affected, with a backup forming due to the incident. The exact cause or nature of the accident remains unknown at this time.

We hope that both drivers recover quickly from their minor injuries. The authorities are investigating the incident further to determine any potential contributing factors.
