Encounter the finalists of the SHRPO Championship tournament
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open Championship event is nearing its final table, with seven players remaining after a thrilling day of poker action in South Florida.
At the top of the leaderboard, Jake Cody is leading the pack with an impressive chip stack of 122 big blinds. Cody, who has amassed a career earnings of $4,662,297, has a significant advantage over his opponents, nearly doubling the chips of his nearest competitor, Stephen Song.
Song, with a career earnings of $10,450,738, has already secured a six-figure cash at Seminole in Tampa from their Signature Poker Series in late July. He enters the final table in second place with 68 big blinds.
Andjelko Andrejevic returns in the middle of the pack with $6,907,023 in career earnings. Xiaoyao Ma, who has $487,145 in career earnings, is sitting among several mid-stacks and will need to catch up to the leader to secure the top prize.
Arlinda Johns, with $117,554 in career earnings, and Jeremy Wien, who has $1,236,313 in career earnings, are also in the mix, with Johns needing to outlast one player on Tuesday to better her career earnings. Wien, who cashed seven times at this summer's WSOP, including a min-cash in the Main Event, returns on Tuesday with 40 big blinds, a slight cut above the cluster of mid-stacks.
Unfortunately, the player who finished in 8th place at the final table and last played in 2023 is not publicly available. Some of the players who fell before the final table include Nick Palma, AJ Kelsall, Justin Zaki, Jeremy Becker, and Chris Hunichen.
The final table will resume tomorrow at noon local time, and the action can be watched on the Hard Rock Poker YouTube channel with a 30-minute delay. The remaining payouts for the tournament are as follows: 1st place - $648,850, 2nd place - $430,000, 3rd place - $320,000, 4th place - $240,000, 5th place - $181,000, 6th place - $138,000, 7th place - $106,000.
With the final table set, it's anyone's game as the seven remaining players battle it out for the SHRPO Guitar Tower trophy and a life-changing prize of $648,850. Tune in tomorrow to see who will emerge victorious.
