Giessen Senior Oktoberfest 2025: A Day of Tradition and Entertainment

Mark your calendars, Giessen residents aged 60 and above, as the much-anticipated Senior Oktoberfest is returning on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The event will take place at the Congress Hall, and it promises to be a day filled with music, dance, and delicious treats.

Tickets for the Senior Oktoberfest will be available for purchase on Tuesday, September 2, from 9:00 to 12:00 at the town hall. You can also purchase your tickets in front of the Women's and Equality Office (Room 120, Ground Floor). The entrance fee for the event is 8.00 €, including VAT, which covers the cost of entertainment and traditional Bavarian treats.

The day's entertainment will be hosted by Alfons Dörr, a renowned local musician. Alfons will be joined by the brass band BlechBRAND and the folk dance group SalzBöden. The trio promises to deliver an unforgettable performance, filled with the spirit of Bavaria.

During the intermission, you can enjoy traditional Bavarian treats such as pretzels and Obatzda, which are included in the entrance fee.

Social Affairs Commissioner Francisco Arman invites all eligible residents to join in the festivities. He looks forward to welcoming you at the Congress Hall on September 13, 2025, for a day of tradition and entertainment.
