The Russian government has taken a significant step towards addressing the country's demographic challenges by approving a strategy for the implementation of family and demographic policy and support for large families in Russia until 2036. This strategy forms part of the national project "Family," which is set to be implemented from January 2025.

Konstantin Abramov, a key figure in this initiative, acknowledged that achieving the goal of increasing the birth rate will be challenging due to various factors such as health, material well-being, ecology, and other life factors. However, he remains optimistic about the potential impact of the project.

Under the national project "Family," more than 17 trillion rubles will be allocated by 2030. One of the key measures announced by Abramov is a payment for a child, with up to a million individuals expected to benefit from this initiative. He also suggested that businesses are creatively approaching measures to increase fertility.

President Vladimir Putin, who has been vocal about the need for an increasing fertility rate in Russia, has given his support to the project. Abramov noted that to change the demographic situation in Russia, each family should ideally have three children. He also stated that such a measure will increase the loyalty of employees who go on maternity leave and encourage their return.

The national project "Family" is aimed at preserving the nation and supporting families. By providing financial incentives and fostering a supportive environment for families, the Russian government hopes to encourage more Russians to start and grow their families. This initiative is a significant step towards addressing Russia's demographic challenges and ensuring a strong and prosperous future for the nation.
