Emerging bakery construction planned for Wrexham location
Village Bakery is set to unveil a new, modern bakery and head office in Wrexham by January 2021. The new facility, located at Ash Road on Wrexham Industrial Estate, will be one of the most advanced in Europe, according to the bakery.
Morris Property, a company renowned for building quality schemes on time and on budget, has been awarded a £9.15 million contract to construct the three-storey building. The construction company commenced work on the site and is expected to hand over the first phase by the end of September.
The new bakery will boast a large steel frame, finished with hygienic cladding, and will include a Baking Academy and a larger new product development bakery. The project also encompasses providing car parking, delivery yards, and associated infrastructure.
The new facility will be considerably larger than the one lost in August's fire at Coed Aben Road, ensuring Village Bakery can continue to meet the growing demands of its customers. James West, Chief Operating Officer of Morris Property, stated that they work closely with clients, and Village Bakery has entrusted this important project to them.
Morris Property's track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget, along with their commitment to quality, made them the ideal choice for Village Bakery. The new bakery is set to be a significant addition to Wrexham's industrial landscape and a testament to Village Bakery's commitment to innovation and growth.
