Emergency Room Attack in Novara: "Yet Another Incident - It's Too Much Now"

The emergency department at Major Hospital is currently undergoing an expansion, but some issues have arisen that have caused delays and inconvenience for both staff and patients.

Recently, an incident involving a man and a security guard took place in the emergency room last Thursday. According to reports, the man arrived at the hospital shouting and was subsequently restrained by the guard on duty. The man began shouting at the staff, and a scuffle ensued, requiring the intervention of a police patrol.

Dr. Mattia Bellan, the director of emergency medicine and acceptance, has addressed the issue of aggression towards healthcare workers, stating that it is a problem that exists and is important. He noted that verbal aggression towards healthcare workers is more common, but physical aggression is fortunately rare. The unions have also called for protection for doctors and nurses in light of this issue.

The ongoing construction project that widened the available space in the emergency room has made the waiting room more cramped than usual. However, some positive changes have come from the expansion. A waiting room for relatives of patients has been opened, providing a space for family members to wait comfortably while their loved ones are being treated.

The new examination booths for doctors and nurses are expected to be operational by mid-October, and the waiting room for patients is expected to be operational by the end of September. Unfortunately, the activation dates for the new rooms in the emergency department are not yet definitive due to the missing furniture and pending tests.

Despite the challenges, the construction project is nearing completion, and the long-running works are expected to be finished soon. The new rooms in the emergency department are being expanded as part of this project, and once completed, they will provide much-needed additional space to help improve the efficiency and capacity of the department.

In conclusion, while there have been some difficulties and incidents in the emergency department at Major Hospital, the expansion project is progressing, and improvements are on the horizon. The hospital remains committed to providing the best possible care for its patients and ensuring the safety and well-being of its staff.
