Elon Musk and Vinod Khosla's bitter feud exposes racial and ideological divides

A public dispute has erupted between Elon Musk and Indian-American billionaire Vinod Khosla. The clash began after Khosla accused Musk of supporting a racially exclusionary ideology. Musk responded by dismissing the claims and launching a personal attack on Khosla.

In the following days, Khosla called on employees at Musk's companies—SpaceX, Tesla, and X—to resign in protest.

The argument started when Khosla criticized Musk's views on demographics. He claimed the tech billionaire was promoting ideas that excluded certain racial groups. Musk quickly fired back, pointing out that his partner, Shivon Zilis, is half Indian. He also mentioned that his eldest son with Zilis is named after Indian physicist Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar.

Khosla then escalated the dispute by urging 'all non-whites... and all decent whites' working at Musk's firms to leave their jobs. His call targeted employees at SpaceX, Tesla, and X, framing it as a moral stand against Musk's alleged ideology.

No major public reactions or wider political debates followed the exchange. Instead, broader discussions on population trends focused on economic solutions. Topics included extending working lives, improving workforce inclusion, and expanding solar technology to address declining birth rates.

Musk did not address the broader accusations in detail. Instead, he dismissed Khosla's remarks outright and directed personal insults at him.

The dispute between Musk and Khosla remains unresolved. Khosla's call for resignations has not led to any documented walkouts or public statements from employees. Meanwhile, discussions on demographics continue to center on economic policies rather than ideological debates.

No further escalation from either side has been reported.
