Kia EV3 Wins Autotrader Car of the Year 2022 and UK Car of the Year 2025

The Kia EV3, Kia's latest electric SUV offering, has made a significant impact in the automotive world. Just over a year since its reveal, the EV3 has been crowned the Autotrader Car of the Year 2022 and the UK Car of the Year 2025, marking the second year in a row a Kia vehicle has won this prestigious title.

The EV3 has also been recognised by DrivingElectric, winning their Car of the Year 2025 and Best Family EV. This success is a testament to Kia's commitment to producing high-quality electric vehicles.

Starting at £32,995, the Kia EV3 is positioned to compete with the bottom-end Volvo EX3 models. It will be available for purchase in the UK starting on 1 August. The car comes with a range of up to (exact range not specified), with the EV3 Air available with either a 267-mile range (58.3kWh battery) or a 372-mile range (81.4kWh battery).

The EV3 offers two trim levels: the EV3 Air and the EV3 GT Line S. The EV3 Air comes equipped with features such as heated front seats, heated steering wheel, 12.3'' driver display, 12.3'' infotainment, Keyless, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Auto lights, Auto Wipers, Roof Rails, electric folded and heated door mirrors, 17'' alloys, LED headlights, and various safety features.

The EV3 GT Line S, priced at £42,995, includes additional features such as Harmon Kardon Sound, a customisable HUD, Front sunroof, heated rear seats, powered tailgate, Remote Smart Parking, Blind Spot, and a 360-degree Surround View Monitor. This trim level is only offered with the 81.4kWh battery.

The success of the Kia EV3 is not limited to the UK. It has beaten the BMW iX3 and Renault Scenic E-Tech in the Autotrader Car of the Year competition, and it is arguably the most successful legacy car maker in the EV world, with some very decent offerings like the Kia EV6.

As for the future, it remains to be seen if Kia will introduce a performance EV3 to compete with the EX30's range-topping AWD model with over 400bhp.
