Cadillac Unveils New Concept Vehicles: Sollei and Ciel

In the world of automobiles, Cadillac has been making waves with the unveiling of two new concept vehicles, the Cadillac Sollei and Ciel.

The Cadillac Sollei Concept, showcased at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, is an electric convertible that aims to reimagine travel and connect the driver with the natural world. With its 55.0′′ screen spanning the cabin and rear command consoles, the Sollei offers a modern take on Cadillac's pedigree of elegant convertibles. The vehicle boasts a 1950s retro paint job called Manila Cream and features sustainable materials, such as mushroom roots (Mycelium). Inside, the Sollei's interior is adorned with yellow Nappa leather and a drinks chiller.

Meanwhile, the Cadillac Ciel Concept, presented at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, is a large four-seater convertible that suggests General Motors has regained its automotive mojo. The powertrain and debut date for both the Sollei and Ciel Concepts are yet to be announced, but Pebble Beach next month seems likely.

The Cadillac ELR, previously known as the Cadillac Converj Concept, has already gone into production. First revealed at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, the Cadillac ELR is a range extender electric vehicle with the running gear from the Chevrolet Volt. It was initially shown as a concept at the 2009 Detroit Auto Show, but production was delayed. The ELR production confirmation comes after rumors circulated for several years. In essence, the ELR is a posh version of the Chevy Volt.

However, one question remains unanswered: who is responsible for the concept development of the Cadillac Sollei? Despite extensive research, the identity of the concept's developer remains unknown.

The Cadillac ELR's debut marks an exciting time for the brand, as it continues to push the boundaries of automotive design and technology. The Sollei and Ciel Concepts hint at an even more innovative future for Cadillac. Stay tuned for more updates on these intriguing new concepts.
