Elderly individuals share meals with college students at the community senior center.

The Wim-Wenders-Gymnasium and Caritas Senior Center in [city name] are set to strengthen their local community through a unique collaboration. The school and its carrier have jointly decided to move locations from the "emmafisch" restaurant to the St. Josef Senior Center, with construction work necessary before the Wim-Wenders-Gymnasium can make the move.

Mayor Burkhard Hintzsche presented this new cooperation, which aims to foster an encounter between young and old. The proximity of the centers can significantly reduce students' travel times, making it easier for them to engage with the senior community.

The Caritas Senior Center Director, Henric Peeters, views this daily encounter as a forward-thinking opportunity. He believes that the shared lunch will promote mutual understanding and a lively exchange between generations. Each lunch menu at the Caritas Senior Center consists of a main dish, a side salad or raw vegetables, and a dessert. The center offers three different menus, five days a week.

The Wim-Wenders-Gymnasium will no longer be providing meals at the "emmafisch" restaurant, but will be moving to the St. Josef Senior Center. Once the construction work is complete, the school will have its own canteen, Cook & Chill kitchen, and cafeteria. The cafeteria will provide nourishment not only for the students but also for the senior community at the Caritas Senior Center.

Connections within the neighbourhood have been built due to providing meals for students at the "emmafisch" restaurant. This cooperation has strengthened the local offer, and the move to the St. Josef Senior Center is expected to continue this positive impact. The St. Josef Senior Center is directly opposite the Wim-Wenders-Gymnasium, making it an ideal location for the school's new cafeteria.

This collaboration is intended to promote a lively exchange between generations, with the hope that it will enrich both the school and senior community. The Wim-Wenders-Gymnasium and Caritas Senior Center look forward to this exciting new chapter in their shared history.
