Elderly canoeist drowns after falling into the water

Tragic occurrence on Father's Day in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: A 66-year-old canoeist lost his life when he fell from the side of his canoe into the Müritz-Elde waterway on Thursday afternoon.

Father's Day tragedy in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania - Elderly canoeist drowns after falling into the water

A guy was vacationing with two pals on a boat trip. When the man unexpectedly fell into the water, they promptly turned the vessel around to save him. Sadly, their attempts at resuscitation were unsuccessful, so he perished instantly.

This unfortunate incident took place close to Burow, in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district. It remains unknown why the man abruptly slipped from the canoe.
