Metallica delighted fans with a special performance called "Hofbräuhaus Funk Jam" at their concert in Munich's Olympic Stadium on May 24. This was the first of their two-night show in front of an audience of 75,000 people. Media reports suggested the band prepared a unique treat for their performance in the Bavarian city: an exclusive song composed specifically for the event.
Famous tracks like "Nothing Else Matters" and "Of Wolf and Man" were interspersed with the instrumental piece "Hofbräuhaus Funk Jam," performed by bassist Robert Trujillo (59) and guitarist Kirk Hammett (61), along with lights, pyrotechnics, and even rain effects. It's unsure if this song will make an appearance at their second show in Munich on May 26, as Metallica is known for their policy of "No Repeat Weekend," meaning they perform a different setlist at each concert.
