Dubai receives 200 DC charging stations, courtesy of Parkin
The fourth annual CiTTi Awards, an unmissable event for the UK's transportation sector, is set to celebrate achievements and innovations in EV charging infrastructure. This year, the spotlight will shine on Dubai, where a groundbreaking collaboration between global technology group e&, Parkin, and charge&go is set to transform the city's electric vehicle (EV) charging landscape.
Parkin, a company with a network of 212,000 paid parking spaces, has agreed a 10-year partnership with charge&go, a subsidiary of e&. The agreement involves the delivery of 200 ultra-fast Direct Current (DC) EV charging stations in Dubai, scheduled to commence in October 2025.
These charging stations will be strategically located in key high-traffic areas, including residential communities and major retail and leisure hubs. The new technology aims to cut EV charging times to under 30 minutes, making charging more convenient for electric vehicle owners.
The network of parking spaces will operate under a 'park and charge' protocol, with designated bays for vehicles to occupy only while actively charging. The charging stations to be installed are ultra-fast DC stations, a significant upgrade from the current charging infrastructure in Dubai.
Dubai, home to 40,000 electric vehicles, will greatly benefit from this initiative. More information about the CiTTi Awards, including details on how to attend, can be found at www.cittiawards.co.uk.
The CiTTi Awards will take place on 25 November 2025 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn more about the latest advancements in EV charging infrastructure and network with industry professionals.
While there are no relevant search results indicating which company was commissioned by Parkin in 2025 to install these 200 fast-charging DC stations for electric cars in Dubai, the collaboration between e&, Parkin, and charge&go promises to bring about a significant change in the city's EV charging capabilities.
