Dubai Chamber of Commerce Sees Indian Companies Lead Wave of New Affiliations
In the first half of 2025, Dubai's business landscape continued to thrive as the Dubai Chamber of Commerce reported a significant surge in new memberships. The Chamber emphasised Dubai's diversified economy and supportive business environment as key drivers of continued foreign interest.
Indian-owned companies topped the list of new memberships with a 14.9 percent year-on-year rise, totalling 9,038 firms. Pakistan followed closely, with 4,281 new companies, marking an 8.1 percent growth.
Bangladeshi firms recorded the fastest growth rate, climbing 37.5 percent with 1,541 new members. Syria, China, Jordan, Türkije, and Canada also contributed significantly, with 945, 772, 688, 642, and 535 new members respectively. The United Kingdom secured fifth place with 1,385 companies, up 11.1 percent. Egypt followed with 2,540 new registrations, marking an 8.3 percent rise.
The Chamber's focus on Dubai's diversified economy and supportive business environment suggests that these factors are influencing the growth in new memberships across various sectors. However, the Chamber did not provide specific data on the growth rate of activity in the sectors mentioned.
Construction accounted for 17.3% of new activity in Dubai during the first half of 2025. Wholesale and Retail Trade, Real Estate, Renting, and Business Services each accounted for 35% of new activity. Transport, Storage and Communications, and Social and Personal Services each represented 7.6% of new activity.
The Chamber's highlighting of Dubai's supportive business environment as a key driver of continued foreign interest reinforces Dubai's position as a global hub for business expansion. Collectively, these markets have emphasised Dubai's diversified economy as a key driver of continued foreign interest, contributing to its sustained appeal to international investors.
Despite the lack of specific information about the ten largest countries besides India that contributed most to the increase in new memberships at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce in the first half of 2025, these figures underscore Dubai's ongoing appeal to businesses worldwide.
