Drug traffickers apprehended in Stuttgart following unveiling of a covert cannabis cultivation site by law enforcement officials.
In a significant development, the Stuttgart Police Headquarters announced the arrest of a 46-year-old man on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt on suspicion of drug trafficking.

Upon entering the suspect's premises, police officers detected a strong smell of marijuana. A thorough search revealed a cannabis cultivation setup with 20 plants in the suspect's basement room. Additionally, officers found several grams of crystal meth, several ecstasy tablets, over 100 grams of amphetamine, gold and silver worth several thousand euros, and around €20,000 in cash.
The suspect resisted arrest and attempted to flee, but was apprehended by the officers. The 65-year-old roommate of the suspect was present during the arrest but was later released after police measures were completed. The 65-year-old co-tenant has not been identified in the available search results.
The suspect was presented to a judge on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at the request of the Prosecutor's Office in Stuttgart. The judge issued a warrant and remanded the suspect to a detention facility.
