In the world of entertainment, anticipation is building for the release of Charlie Sheen's highly-anticipated Netflix documentary, 'aka Charlie Sheen'. Directed by Andrew Renzi, the project promises to offer an intimate look into the life of the iconic actor.

The documentary features Charlie Sheen's commentary, as well as interviews with a diverse range of people associated with him. These include his former wife Denise Richards, Heidi Fleiss, Sean Penn, his brother Ramon Estevez, and Marco Abeta, his former drug dealer.

Besides these key figures, the Netflix documentary also boasts a "who's who of celebrities", though specific names have yet to be revealed.

The premiere for 'aka Charlie Sheen' is set to take place in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Charlie Sheen's journey behind the camera is the focus of the documentary, with the actor sitting down with director Andrew Renzi for an in-depth discussion.

Marco Abeta, Sheen's former drug dealer, plays a significant role in the documentary. Abeta, who provided Sheen with bad drugs as part of the process of helping him stop taking drugs, agreed to be part of the project without any convincing. He felt that his story was in safe hands with Renzi.

Abeta's role in helping Sheen overcome his addiction is central to the documentary. He aligned with Sheen's father and therapist to wean him off drugs.

However, certain topics could not be discussed due to the unavailability of the people involved.

It took a lot of convincing for Sheen to agree to the Netflix project. The Hollywood Reporter reported that the project was presented in a way that Sheen had "never really thought about before."

Sheen is also releasing a memoir titled 'The Book of Sheen' next week, which is set to be released on September 9, a day before the documentary premieres on Netflix on September 10.

With the premiere just around the corner, fans of Charlie Sheen are eagerly awaiting the release of 'aka Charlie Sheen'. The documentary promises to offer a unique and intimate look into the life of one of Hollywood's most iconic figures.
