Dramatic revelation in EastEnders: Character succumbing to heart attack

In the latest episode of EastEnders, viewers witnessed an emotional reunion between Callum Highway and his estranged father, Jonno. The meeting, mediated by Johnny Carter (Charlie Suff), was a long time coming for Callum, who has not seen his father in years due to Jonno's homophobic past.

The reunion, however, was not without its challenges. Jonno's involvement in a homophobic attack at the local gay bar, The Albert, forced him to confess his past actions to Callum. Although Callum offered Jonno another chance, not everyone in the community approves of their reconciliation, with Ben disapproving due to Jonno's prior abusive behavior towards Callum's sexuality.

Tragedy struck during the meeting as Jonno suffered a heart attack. The incident added a somber tone to the already tense reunion.

Meanwhile, Julie Haye is preparing for a job interview at a school. However, there is potential for her to miss this opportunity due to taking care of Nigel, who was the cause of a mix-up during his preparation. Nigel, in an unfortunate turn of events, confused George Knight with Julie's previous lover. Thankfully, Nigel and Phil Mitchell stepped in to help Julie prepare for her interview.

Elsewhere in Walford, EastEnders continues to air Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One, and the latest episodes can be streamed on BBC iPlayer.
