Donors Recognized with Awards in Novosibirsk Region

In a heartwarming ceremony held on August 22, the Government of Novosibirsk Oblast presented the prestigious "Honored Donor of Russia" badges to twenty local residents. Among the honorees was Konstantin Khalzov, Deputy Governor and Meritorious Worker of Healthcare of the Russian Federation.

The "Honored Donor of Russia" title is a federal award that recognises citizens who have made at least 40 blood donations or 60 plasma donations. For the "Honored Donor of Novosibirsk Oblast", however, the requirements are slightly more stringent. To receive this regional title, one must donate blood at least 60 times or a total of 80 to 100 blood and plasma donations.

Konstantin Khalzov, the recipient of the "Honored Donor of Russia" award, expressed his intention to continue donating blood. He stated that he aims to donate more often than his current schedule, with the goal of saving lives. He plans to donate blood at least twice a year, on New Year's and on World Donor Day at the Blood Center.

The "Honored Donor of Novosibirsk Oblast" title was introduced in the Novosibirsk Oblast in 2012. This regional distinction honours the long-term and regular voluntary contributions of donors to the local healthcare system. The title "Honored Donor of Russia" is a federal award, not a local one.

Rostislav Zabotsky, Regional Minister of Health, presented the awards to the donors. He highlighted the importance of blood donations in maintaining the health and well-being of the community.

Unfortunately, during the same week, two individuals were injured in 34 fires that occurred in Novosibirsk. No further details about the fires or the injured individuals were provided in the article.

The title recognises the long-term and regular voluntary contributions of donors to the national healthcare system. The recipients were recognised for their significant contributions through regular donations. The ceremony was a testament to the selflessness and dedication of these individuals, who have made a tangible difference in the lives of many.
