In the coming weeks, several roads in Bayreuth will be affected by closures due to construction work. Here's a rundown of the affected areas and the recommended detours.

From August 18 to 29, the entrance area of Christian-Ritter-von-Langheinich Street/State Road 2181 will be partially closed, preventing entry from State Road 2181 into Christian-Ritter-von-Langheinich Street. Local drivers are advised to use alternate routes during this time. Traffic can flow freely from Christian-Ritter-von-Langheinich Street into State Road 2181, but the detour for the closure can be found at the city's construction portal: Bayreuth Construction Portal.

Meanwhile, Merkur Street will be completely closed from August 18 to September 9 due to sewer construction work. Local traffic is possible from Mostholz Street up to the construction site on Merkur Street during the closure. The closure of Merkur Street does not affect the area of Friedrich-Ebert Street and Königsallee.

The most significant disruption will be on Königsallee, which will be partially closed from August 18 to 29. The partial closure will be regulated by a construction traffic light. Local drivers are advised to avoid the area of Friedrich-Ebert Street and Königsallee. For those who need to travel through this area, traffic will be rerouted via St 2181, Großer Kreisel, B 2, Hochbrücke to Berner Street.

To accommodate the closure of Friedrich-Ebert Street, traffic will be rerouted via Wieland-Wagner Street, Hohenzollernring, Albrecht-Dürer Street, and Friedrich-Ebert Street, and vice versa. It's important to note that no streets in Bayreuth outside the already mentioned ones (Friedrichstraße, Waldsteinring) are reported to be completely closed from August 18 to September 9, 2021. Only partial or other separate dates for closures are noted, such as Carl-Schüller-Straße (half-side closure) or Waldsteinring (full closure until September 5).

We recommend checking the Bayreuth Construction Portal for the most up-to-date information on traffic disruptions and detours. Safe travels!
