District Hospital Stabbing Incident in Regensburg: Critical Condition for Victim
Knife Attack at Regensburg District Hospital: 23-Year-Old Victim Critical
A shocking incident took place at the Regensburg District Hospital on Saturday evening, 17th August, as a 23-year-old patient was viciously attacked in the open ward.
According to reports, the attacker, a 33-year-old patient, injured the victim on the neck with a knife. The assault was severe enough to cause the victim to lose consciousness. Emergency services were promptly called, and the victim was treated on the spot before being rushed to the operating theatre for emergency surgery.
Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, the victim remains in critical condition.
The attack was swiftly halted by a quick-thinking nurse who managed to get the attacker to put down the knife. The police arrived on the scene shortly after and arrested the suspect on the spot. The Regensburg Criminal Police took over the investigation that same evening.
Extensive evidence was secured at the scene of the attack to aid the investigation. The Regensburg Public Prosecutor's Office is working closely with the police to gather all the necessary information.
