The 2025 BMW PGA Championship is set to be an exciting event, with a host of top golfers set to compete at Wentworth.

Defending champion Billy Horschel will aim to retain his title, while former US Open champion Wyndham Clark and popular Australian Min Woo Lee will also be in action. Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm, both Major championship winners, are among the star-studded lineup.

Notable PGA Tour players participating include Tommy Fleetwood, who will make his first competitive start since winning the Tour Championship and FedEx Cup at the event. Corey Conners, Michael Kim, Si Woo Kim, Jhonattan Vegas, and Kevin Yu are also set to play.

The LIV Golf contingent is well-represented, with Joaquin Niemann, a five-time LIV Golf event winner this year, joining the fray. Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed, both LIV Golf players and Ryder Cup veterans, are also set to compete. Tom McKibbin and Adrian Meronk, two LIV Golf players, have also been confirmed for the tournament. Tyrrell Hatton and two other LIV Golf players are also expected to play, although their names have not been disclosed.

Several European players are aiming to impress Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald, who will be playing at the event along with 11 members of the European Ryder Cup team. Matt Wallace, Marco Penge, and Nicolai Hojgaard are among those looking to show Donald he may have made the wrong picks.

Harry Hall, who had a brilliant season on the PGA Tour, will make a rare appearance on home soil at the BMW PGA Championship. Other European stars in and around the Ryder Cup, such as Thomas Detry and former Masters champion Adam Scott, are also set to play.

However, not all Ryder Cup hopefuls will be present. Sepp Straka, a Ryder Cup wildcard, is not playing due to a recent absence from events following the birth of his child. Marcel Siem, who was nominated as a Ryder Cup wildcard by Luke Donald, was disqualified from the tournament.

The BMW PGA Championship will also see the tournament debut of Hideki Matsuyama, an 11-time PGA Tour winner and a Green Jacket winner. Padraig Harrington and Francesco Molinari, both former and current Ryder Cup vice-captains, are also participating in the event.

The BMW PGA Championship promises to be a thrilling event, with a diverse and talented field of golfers set to compete at Wentworth.
