Disruption in Processing Student Parking Applications
At the University of Oxford, students are currently experiencing technical difficulties with the new parking registration system. These issues are only affecting the parking permit registration process and not the enforcement of parking rules.
In an effort to apologise for the inconvenience caused, a statement has been issued, expressing regret for any difficulties students may be facing. The university is working diligently to resolve the technical difficulties as quickly as possible.
During this period, a grace period has been put in place for parking. This means that no citations will be issued for parking violations until all students have registered for their parking permits. However, it's important to note that this grace period does not apply to parking in ADA spaces without an ADA permit or in fire lane areas.
Students who have already registered and purchased a permit are thanked for their patience. No action is required for these students. For those who have not yet registered, registration is advised to be done after they arrive on campus. Registration will open up once they arrive, and will also be available on the next business day on their parking portal.
Campus safety will provide another update once the system is fully operational and enforcement begins. During the grace period, students are asked to park in designated student parking spaces only. This is to ensure a smooth transition once the enforcement begins.
It's worth mentioning that the grace period is not related to the technical difficulties affecting the parking permit registration process. The university apologises for any confusion this may cause.
Some students are currently unable to get a parking permit due to the technical difficulties, but efforts are being made to resolve the issues as soon as possible. The university appreciates the understanding and cooperation of all students during this time.
Upon arrival, students should park in designated student parking spaces only. Parking in reserved, staff, ADA (unless you have an ADA permit), or fire lane areas is strictly prohibited.
The university apologises for any inconvenience caused and assures students that they are doing everything in their power to resolve the technical difficulties and ensure a smooth parking permit registration process for all students.
