Disorder at a Brother's Birthday Bash in Bremerhaven: Law Enforcement Steps In.
In the early hours of August 16, a birthday party in Bremerhaven-Mitte escalated into an alarming situation. Police were dispatched to Middle Street following reports of an unclear situation involving an injured person in a multi-family house apartment.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a man on the street who pointed them towards the apartment. Inside, they found an injured 23-year-old man with a severe arm injury on the bed in the bedroom. The man, who was drunk, refused medical attention, and resisted throughout the process of being taken to the ambulance. Several officers had to restrain him to treat the deep wound and transport him to the Bremerhaven fire department's ambulance.
The incident also involved shouting in the stairwell of the apartment building and bloodstains and glass shards inside the apartment. The Bremerhaven Police are now investigating this incident for resistance against law enforcement officers.
This is not an isolated case. The Bremerhaven Police regularly face abuse, threats, attacks, and injuries in the line of duty. In recent months, incidents involving resistance against officers have been reported in Viktoriastraße on September 3, 2025, Esslingen on August 30, 2025, and Beckum on September 4, 2025.
In response to these incidents, the Seestadt Bremerhaven has launched a campaign called "No violence against us." The contact details for inquiries about the incident are: Bremerhaven Police Press Office, Phone: 0471 / 953-1403, Email: [email protected].
