In a heartbreaking incident, a 13-year-old boy named Yashpal lost his life in an accident on Saturday. The incident occurred in New Subhash Nagar, sending the locality into a state of panic.

Yashpal was a Class 7 student and the unfortunate incident took place in his father's godown. Initial rumours suggested foul play, but the family confirmed that the death was accidental.

According to the police, Yashpal fell among sacks in the godown due to a slippery surface on the roof caused by rainwater. As a result, he was unable to be located earlier. The cause of death was serious head injuries sustained from the fall.

The Station House Officer of Tibba Police Station, where the event occurred, is Inspector Harpreet Singh. He ruled out any suspicion in Yashpal's death and confirmed that it was due to a fall from the roof of his house.

Inspector Harpreet Singh further stated that Yashpal sustained a deep head injury in the fall. The family declined a post-mortem examination and submitted an affidavit before conducting Yashpal's last rites.

Yashpal's body was discovered by his grandfather the next morning. Police from Tibba station reached the scene of the accident and the investigation into Yashpal's death is ongoing.

Following the incident, no further suspicious activities were reported in New Subhash Nagar. The community is left mourning the loss of a young life and offering their condolences to Yashpal's family.
