Diakonie in Fürth organizes free breast-feeding workshops during the autumn season

The Diakonie Fürth's Pregnancy and Sexual Counseling centre is hosting a series of workshops aimed at helping expectant parents prepare for breastfeeding. Entitled "Navigating Daily Breastfeeding", these sessions will take place at the Diakonie House in Königswarterstraße 56-60, on two separate dates: September 19, 2025, and October 31, 2025.

These workshops, led by certified lactation consultant Diana Maldonado, will provide compact information and practical tips for a good start to breastfeeding. The course will cover a range of topics, including the benefits of breastfeeding, milk production, latch technique, breastfeeding positions, hunger cues in newborns, and typical challenges.

The workshops will run from 10:00 to 12:00 noon and will also include time for group exchange. The topics covered are recommended by professional societies for early information about infant nutrition, breastfeeding positions, and child signals.

It's important to note that while these workshops can provide valuable information, they do not replace medical advice. They serve as a low-threshold supplement, especially around the time of birth when practical questions often arise.

Registration for the course is required and can be done by phone at 0911 749 33-53 or by email at [email protected]. The workshops are free of charge, but donations are welcome.

Join us at Diakonie Haus Königswarterstraße 56-60 (on the 1st floor, group room) for these informative and practical sessions. Whether you're a first-time parent or have experience with breastfeeding, these workshops promise to be a valuable resource for all.
