Diabeloop and SOOIL collaborate to introduce DBLG1, a derivative product featuring the Dana-i Pump, now available in Germany through Mediq's distribution network.
In a significant milestone for diabetes management, Diabeloop, a pioneering French company, has secured MDR certification for its DBLG1 system, integrated with Vicentra's Kaleido pump, at the end of 2023. This marks a significant achievement for Diabeloop, resulting from the company's relentless efforts to maintain quality standards and adhere to regulatory requirements.
CΓ©cile Ferracci, the Chief Commercial Officer of Diabeloop, expressed the company's commitment to offering more choices to people with diabetes. "We are thrilled to bring our innovative solutions to a wider audience," she stated.
The MDR-approved DBLG1 system is integrated with the Dexcom G6 continuous glucose monitor, a trusted and user-friendly device. In addition to the DBLG1 with Accu-Chek Insight (Roche) and DBLG1 with Kaleido (Vicentra) options, Diabeloop has also introduced the DBLG1 with Dana-i, the latest version of the Dana pump from SOOIL.
Mediq, a leading provider in the European diabetes market, has been appointed as the exclusive distributor for the DBLG1 system and the Dana-i pump by SOOIL. Mediq will support the German rollout with high-quality customer service and training.
The initial launch phase will be for patients already using a Dexcom G6 CGM. Diabeloop's DBLG1 self-learning algorithm is integrated with the Dana-i pump, offering a seamless and efficient solution for diabetes management.
Over 2024 and Q1 2025, Diabeloop completed a Series D financing round of β¬24.6m with historical investors to support its growth strategy and high-impact projects. The company's dedication to improving the quality of life for people living with diabetes is evident in the talent and commitment of its team.
While no relevant information was found regarding the exclusive distributor for the DBLG1 system and Dana-i insulin pump from SOOIL in Germany in 2021, the collaboration between Diabeloop and Mediq is set to bring innovative diabetes management solutions to more patients in Germany.
