Dexter's Reboot Episode Leaves Audience Hanging in Suspense, Yet Thrilled by a Significant Moment for the Serial Killer, Particularly One That Triggered the Cliffhanger

In the heart-pounding penultimate episode of Dexter: Resurrection, viewers were left on the edge of their seats as the showdown between Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and Angel Batista (David Zayas) reached its climax.

Angel Batista, a long-standing character in the Dexter series, met his tragic end in this episode, marking the end of his character arc in the revival. The showdown between Dexter and Batista was intense, setting the stage for the season's dramatic conclusion.

Leon Prater (Johnny Lee Miller), the billionaire who has been causing trouble for Dexter, holds the cards in the current situation. Prater, who discovered Dexter's true identity as the Bay Harbor Butcher, has been manipulating events from behind the scenes.

Prater might force Dexter into an arrangement in the future, offering him access to serial killers around the United States and unlimited resources, but with conditions. The condition for Dexter's deal is that he kills Angel Batista.

However, Dexter refuses Prater's offer and instead frees Batista. Unfortunately, Batista, driven by anger and betrayal, attempts to kill Dexter but is ultimately killed by Prater.

Meanwhile, Prater might make Dexter teach Harrison his code, or even force Harrison to walk the path of a serial killer. Harrison, who might be more willing to kill someone like Al, who escaped a couple of episodes ago, could potentially become the main character in the season finale.

In the final episode of Dexter: Resurrection, Leon Prater will collaborate with Harrison Morgan, with Charley potentially present to ensure Dexter doesn't get killed.

For those without a Paramount+ subscription, they can tune in to Showtime on Sunday at 8:00 p.m. ET to see this unfold. The season finale of Dexter: Resurrection is coming next Friday to Paramount+.

In a poignant moment, Dexter tries to apologize to Angel Batista in his final moments, but Batista does not respond. After being freed, Batista's last act is one of vengeance, setting the stage for a thrilling conclusion to the series.
