On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the Integration Council and local elections will take place concurrently in Bergisch Gladbach. Eligible voters have received a yellow voting notice, which will guide them to their polling station on election day.

Candidates for the Integration Council election include Frank Samirae and Thomas Klein from the Bürgerpartei GL, who won four mandates in the previous election, as well as Lilit Khachatrian, a Ukrainian jurist and human rights advocate. The Bündnis für Vielfalt und Chancengleichheit, led by the previous Integrationsrat chairman, is another contender, also aiming for four mandates.
