The Faculty of Design at Dresden University of Applied Sciences (HTWD) is set to host its annual Summer Show on the 11th and 12th of July, 2025. This exciting event will take place on the 6th floor of the U-building at HTW Dresden.

The Summer Show is open to the public and aimed at a wide audience, including those interested in studying design, design enthusiasts, and professionals from industry, research, and culture. Visitors can expect an engaging display of creativity and societal relevance, as the showcase will feature projects and work from the Bachelor's program in Design: Product and Communication, as well as the Master's program in Design: Products and Interactions.

Highlights of the Summer Show include an interactive board game about Dresden, a user interface for AI collaboration, designs for sustainable household appliances, material experiments with porcelain and wood, a design-theoretical exploration of contemporary product aesthetics, a visual awareness campaign on diabetes, and educational toys developed with children aged 4 to 12.

On Friday, 11th July, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM, there will be a special highlight: the presentation of Master's final projects. While the specific names of students presenting their master theses have not been disclosed, it promises to be an insightful and inspiring event. Students and faculty will be available on-site to answer questions and provide insights into design processes and course content.

The Summer Show continues on Saturday, 12th July, from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Anyone interested in studying design in Dresden or curious about the products of the future should not miss this event.

Throughout the two days, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the exhibition, which showcases applied design projects and experimental studies created during the summer semester. The Summer Show is a testament to the creative range and societal relevance of design studies at Dresden University of Applied Sciences.
