Derived Infringements Identified in Traffic Management

In the city of Bremen, traffic surveillance specialists conducted thorough checks over the weekend, focusing on maintaining road safety. The operation, carried out in civilian vehicles, involved laser measurements and the impounding of vehicles found to be in violation of traffic regulations.

One of the most significant findings was the impounding of a car that had undergone technical modifications. The vehicle was immediately seized due to a different suspension and tires that were touching the wheel arch, potentially posing a threat to traffic safety.

Several drivers were caught speeding, with some reaching peak speeds of 164 km/h in a 50 km/h zone and 174 km/h in a 120 km/h zone. This reckless behaviour is a major cause of accidents and poses a risk to other road users. As a result, at least ten drivers now face driving bans of one to three months for speeding.

Corresponding fines and criminal proceedings have been initiated for the detected offenses. In addition to speeding, other violations were detected, such as drivers running red lights and using mobile phones while driving.

A 20-year-old is facing criminal proceedings for driving without a license. Two drivers in the probationary period may also face a retraining order from the driver's license authority.

It is important to note that the search results do not specify any particular car manufacturer whose vehicles have been immediately barred during technical inspections due to changes in the relationship between chassis and tires.

For further inquiries, contact the Press Office Police Bremen at Felix Sรก (0421 362-12114). The police will continue to conduct targeted traffic checks using both stationary and mobile methods, emphasising the importance of safe and responsible driving.

Such traffic checks are necessary for road safety, as driving at excessive speeds remains a major cause of accidents. The police are committed to ensuring that the roads in Bremen are safe for all users.
