Department of Energy's Report Critique by CEI: An Examination of Greenhouse Gas Impacts on U.S. Climate

The Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) has submitted comments on the Department of Energy's (DOE) report titled "A Critical Review of Impacts of Greenhouse Gas Emissions on the U.S. Climate, dated July 29, 2025.

The comments, signed off by Dr. David R. Legates, Ph.D. and Marlo Lewis, Jr., Ph.D., were submitted respectfully and address each section of the report. Dr. Legates is the lead commenter on Chapters 1-10 of the report, while Dr. Lewis is the lead commenter on Chapters 11-12 and section 1 of Chapter 9.

Both Dr. Legates and Dr. Lewis are associated with the CEI. Dr. Legates is a Senior Fellow at the institute, and Dr. Lewis is an Adjunct Fellow.
