Denmark secures a three-nil victory over Greece in the World Cup qualifier, with Damsgaard being the key player.

Denmark has secured their position at the top of World Cup qualifying Group C following a dominant 3-0 victory over Greece on Tuesday night.

The match, played at the Parken Stadium in Copenhagen, saw Denmark's Mikkel Damsgaard score the opening goal in the 32nd minute. The midfielder won the ball back on the edge of the penalty area and curled a shot past Konstantinos Tzolakis to give Denmark the lead.

Christensen extended Denmark's advantage just before halftime, surging forward from his centre-back position to score a stunning goal from the edge of the area. The goal was Christensen's fifth in international football and put Denmark in a commanding position.

Rasmus Hojlund added a third goal for Denmark two minutes into the second half, tapping in after Patrick Dorgu hit the post. Greece made two changes at halftime but struggled to create chances in the second half, with Denmark's defence holding firm to secure a clean sheet.

Scotland, who are in second place in the group, also won their second match in Group C on Tuesday, beating Belarus 2-0 in Hungary. However, Denmark's superior goal difference means they now sit at the top of the table.

Denmark's next opponent in World Cup Qualifying Group C is Belarus on October 9, 2025. With their form in the group so far, Denmark will be confident of extending their lead at the top of the table.
