Democracy's unity: A look at how political learning shapes direction

In the heart of our city, the Evangelical Community House Großenritte will host an enlightening event titled "An Evening Conversation with Michael Nann." This discussion, scheduled for June 24, 2025, at 7:00 PM, is part of the series "our city Dialogues."

Michael Nann, the study leader at the Evangelical Academy Hofgeismar, will be the focus of the event. His area of expertise includes international and European politics, peace ethics and policy, migration and integration, power and domination critique, and social inequalities in Germany.

The event aims to explore socially relevant topics within a Christian context and discuss their significance for the strengthening of our democratic society, especially in light of current challenges. By fostering the ability to think independently and critically, building arguments on objective knowledge, respecting democratic values, and including collective interests in decision-making, this discussion hopes to promote active, responsible citizenship and resilience against political disillusionment, populism, and societal polarization.
