On a Saturday at 11:30 AM, weather allowing, an inflatable balloon will take flight over the museum property. This is "Up!," a creative work by Munich's Katharina Gaenssler, which won the Kunst am Bau competition earlier this year.

Inspired by the escape balloon from Naila, in the Hof district, where two families escaped the East to find freedom in 1979, the balloon has been replicated. This thrilling tale can be found in the museum's permanent exhibition, "How Bavaria Became a Free State and What Makes It Special." The film "Ballon" by Michael Bully Herbig will also be screened at 8 PM on Saturday in the museum's Donausaal.

Additionally, Social Minister Ulrike Scharf will participate in a panel discussion on Saturday at 12:30 PM in the Donausaal, under the theme "Participate - for your democracy." Various music and theater performances will also take place during the weekend.
