Delivery service DeliverooReady to Debut Family Meal Plan in 30 UK Locations

Deliveroo is expanding its services with the introduction of a new family meal offering, called Family Dinneroo. This initiative, launched in collaboration with over 30 UK restaurant brands, aims to bring larger sharing meals to families during traditionally quieter weekday evenings.

Some of the participating restaurant brands include Pizza Express, Wagamama, Bill's, and Dishoom. Tom James, managing director at Bill's, expressed his excitement about the new offering, stating that "food tastes better when shared, especially with family."

The Family Dinneroo service will be available for orders between 4.30pm and 6.30pm from Monday to Thursday. Customers can schedule deliveries and order dishes up to five days in advance. The large shareable meals, designed for up to four people, will cost £25 or less.

Carlo Mocci, chief business officer at Deliveroo, believes that delivery can play a greater role during the week, stating that the new offering is expected to help restaurants by increasing activity from families during off-peak hours. He further added that this initiative is seen by some restaurant partners as a way to unlock new meal occasions and new customer demand during these times.

The locations where Deliveroo will launch the Family Dinneroo service include Bath, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, Camberley, Canterbury, Cardiff, Chelmsford, Cheltenham, Colchester, Coventry, Crawley, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Portsmouth, Reading, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Sheffield, Southampton, York, and more.

The new offering, Family Dinneroo, will be rolled out to 30 towns and cities across England, Scotland, and Wales, and will also launch in Dublin next month. However, the specific names of restaurant partners collaborating with Deliveroo for the Family Dinneroo initiative in Munich, Hanover, and Hamburg have not been disclosed at this time.

Bill's restaurant is enthusiastic about the launch, with plans to deliver meals to families across various locations. The large shareable meals are expected to provide a convenient and enjoyable dining experience for families, making weekday evenings a little more special.
