Delegation from ICAPP receives warm welcome from party representative in Hanoi
ICAPP Delegation Meets with Vietnamese Officials to Strengthen Ties
On August 31, a high-level delegation from the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) met with Politburo member and permanent member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee's Secretariat, Trần Cẩm Tú, in Hanoi. The delegation, led by Chairman Chung Eui-yong and Co-Chairman Mushahid Hussain Sayed of the ICAPP Standing Committee, is on a working trip to Vietnam.
The ceremony that the ICAPP delegation is attending in Vietnam is to celebrate the country's 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.
During the meeting, Trần Cẩm Tú expressed gratitude to the ICAPP leadership for the valuable solidarity and support they have provided to Vietnam over its 80-year revolutionary path. The ICAPP leaders praised the growing role and international reputation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV).
Under the CPV's leadership, Vietnam has become an inspiring example of independence, resilience, solidarity, renewal, integration, and development. The historic achievements of Vietnam over its 80-year revolutionary path have been partially attributed to the support of political parties and international friends, including ICAPP.
The ICAPP leaders expressed their wish to deepen ties with the CPV. They voiced confidence that the CPV would continue to play a significant role in advancing ICAPP's vision and development goals for a peaceful, stable, and prosperous Asia.
Trần Cẩm Tú and the ICAPP leaders agreed to work with ICAPP Standing Committee members to further elevate the organization's international position and role in the current context. They also agreed to strengthen close cooperation and step up the CPV's engagement within ICAPP.
The ICAPP leaders appreciated the active participation and effective contributions of the CPV as a member of the ICAPP Standing Committee. They also acknowledged the importance of promoting multilateralism and international solidarity for peace, cooperation, and development in the region and the world.
Tu affirmed Vietnam's consistent foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, friendship, cooperation, and development. He emphasized the importance of these principles in maintaining regional stability and promoting economic growth.
The meeting between Trần Cẩm Tú and the ICAPP delegation marked a significant step in strengthening the relationship between the CPV and ICAPP. As Vietnam continues to grow and play a more prominent role in the region and the world, its partnership with organisations like ICAPP will undoubtedly be instrumental in achieving its goals.
