City Transformation Celebration in Hanau: A Weekend of Excitement from September 11th to 13th

Hanau is gearing up for an exciting weekend as it celebrates its city transformation from September 11th to 13th. The celebrations are centred around infrastructure modernization projects, including the reconstruction of the main train station bridge, aiming to improve transport connections and urban accessibility. Additionally, the city is focusing on climate adaptation measures, such as preserving and promoting urban green spaces to enhance environmental quality and resilience.

The city centre will be the hub of activities, offering over 100 deals during the "Shop and Smile" discount action. These attractive deals are valid not only during the festival month but also until the end of the year. Visitors can obtain the "Shop and Smile" coupon booklet at participating businesses and the Service and Ticket Center on the market square.

On September 11th, the "After-work market" at the Walloon-Netherlandish Church will take place, featuring live music, culinary supplies, and a flea market. The marching band "Brass2Go" will bring musical energy to the city centre with their mobile performance. In the evening, Journalist Hasnain Kazim will give a reading at the Cultural Forum under the title "Germany Tour - In Search of Home".

On September 12th, sporty activities will take place in the Y-Alley at the Hanau Forum from 4 to 6 pm. At least 200 people in sportswear are invited to come to the stage. Imaginative stilt-walkers will parade through the streets of Hanau, adding a touch of magic to the celebration. In the evening, the film "Hanau is transforming" will be shown multiple times a day at the City Hall.

On September 13th, the "Green Mobility Day" will take place in the city centre, showcasing over 50 vehicles and sustainable mobility options. Visitors will have the opportunity to test sit in the latest models and get firsthand information. The Hanau Forum Shopping Center will focus on family entertainment with various acts and shows. In the afternoon, "Saturday Stories" will take place, featuring volunteer readers and storytellers for listeners of all ages.

If the challenge on September 12th at the Hanau Forum is successful, JUZ Kesselstadt will receive a 1,000 Euro donation from the Hanau Forum. Ten years of urban renewal will be celebrated by Modehaus Müller-Ditschler with advantageous actions, discounts, music, and fashion.
